The MT-15 BS6 bike maintains roughly the same quality and design as the BS4 model. The BS6 version, on the other hand, has a number of upgrades, including as a stand cut-off sensor and new graphics in red and white. Find Yamaha MT 15 Price in Nepal, Specifications, and Full Review.
The MT-15 BS6’s new 155cc BS6-compliant engine, which represents a substantial departure from the engines found in the brand’s prior models, is the most interesting improvement to the vehicle. Three color choices are offered for the MT-15 BS6: Metallic Black, Dark Matte Blue, and Ice Fluo Vermillion.
Features and design
The Yamaha MT-15 BS6 has design elements typically found on samurai masks on its face, which was influenced by the “Dark Warrior” trademark mascot. The remainder of the bike’s design, though, has not changed significantly. Despite this, the BS4 versions of the LED headlamp and taillight have been somewhat modified.
The Yamaha MT-15 BS6 has a sharp front end and an all-LED headlamp with a projector setup for better vision at night.
A digital instrument cluster with a negative display, including a digital speedometer, tachometer, odometer, gear-position indication, and gear-shift indicator, has been installed on the MT-15 BS6 by Yamaha. The bike also has an engine stop button, an ABS brake, and a single-piece seat design.
The 155cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine found in the YZF-R15 also powers the Yamaha MT-15 BS6. The bike’s engine can produce a maximum torque of 13.9Nm at 8500 rpm and 18.5PS of power at 10,000 rpm. A variable valve actuation (VVA) system is also included. The engine gains improved low-end torque as a result, giving it an advantage during starting acceleration.
The Yamaha MT-15 BS6 has telescopic front forks and a mono-shock rear suspension. Users should be able to navigate small potholes without suffering back pain thanks to this. Given that it only has a 155cc engine, the bike’s top speed of 144kmph is incredibly impressive. It is fitted with a six-speed gearbox. But on the other hand, it excels in this category.
According to reports, the bike is still stable at greater speeds and gear ratios. The FZ series that is offered in Nepal lacks a sixth gear, and MT has just given the riders that extra boost.
Dual-disc brakes and a single-channel ABS are both available on the Yamaha MT-15 BS6. As expected for a bike of this caliber, it also has a slip-and-assist clutch. The assist and slide clutch enables low-stress shifting during deceleration and lessens the weight of the clutch pull. This also stops the engine from braking too much.

Yamaha MT-15 BS6 faces competition from models like the Yamaha R15v3, Yamaha FZ25, Bajaj Pulsar NS 200 ABS FI, Apache RTR 200 4V RTFI BS6, and Honda Hornet 2.0 in this price bracket. When comparing all the bikes, Apache appears to offer better value for the money thanks to a number of helpful features. Yamaha’s bikes are still highly regarded for their high quality, and the new MT-15 BS6 is no exception.
It is among the most attractive bikes, and few in this class can match its performance and dependability. With the exception of Yamaha’s own R15 series, no other bike in the 150cc class has more power than this one.
It is understandable why it quickly became famous in Nepal and will keep doing so, much like the R series.
